That's Love

I saw faces behind every mask, seeking for their partners waiting to be danced with. I saw hungry people savoring the food, enjoying time with their mouth and put their tummies into their kind of satisfaction. I saw friendships being strong, meeting with strangers as a form of a good acquaintanceship. It was all memorable, unforgettable and historical as we celebrate the first ever That’s Amore Senior’s Ball conducted with the guidance of the school’s supportive faculty. Though it was tiring at the end but the time we spent together with my friends and schoolmates is worthy enough to be remembered and last in our minds for a long period of time.

Yes it was difficult finding the mask I am seeking of, especially when it is the day before the Senior’s Ball. I admit that I underestimated things and assumed to easily find one but guess I did not. I rushed things off and found a unique one passing through my standards in choosing the best quality, I am not a perfectionist but still I wanted to be in proper formality. With that I rode through the event proper and arrived in time, enjoyed the night, making memories at the same time.

It was all memorable for I think everyone is happy. I did not see anyone complaining and felt uncomforted, everyone is contented and satisfied. The event has been nowa part of our stories that we will be speaking in the near future. Those memories will become part of our mind’s treasures that we will be sharing with others hereafter.

Worth It

It has been a tiring, enjoyable and a worth it 10-day work immersion with my co-immersion students and the office staffs of the Department of Public Works and Highways at the Nabunturan district of the Compostela Valley Province. We faced some challenges that would set our mind into focus, met some new good people who became close to our hearts and learn some new ideas and knowledge, getting our long-pursued satisfaction. As my realization, being in the work proper and do things what busy office people does every day, is a not as easy as reciting the alphabet for it needs the dedication, physical and psychological strength, determination and patience in able to complete tasks designed to suit with the profession of the challenger.

Being with them, people with professions, is kindly an awkward thing. Adjustments were made and the tremulous feeling I felt at first had slowly vanished as days passed. So many paper works to be sorted of and computers to be used with, carried by my very handsinnocent from these bustling works. On our second week, we were sent to the BAC section to help Ma’am Analyn with her bunch of contract papers that are needed to be sorted, organized and ready for the next steps required for the legality of the projects. We did things she was doing for almost three years alone. It was not an easy task sorting a bunch of things, tabbing it one by one, project by project
with your bare hands finishing it in due time. I coped up with some of the things which are new in my senses giving me some confidence and courage to believe that I can do a thing and continue to progress with appropriate actions. I may be gotten sick, lots of headaches, longing for a good long sleep but I still manage to compete with my limitations and conquer unwanted illness to complete the tasks and challenges given by the superiors.

Being a man in a profession is not as easy as that, I had the mixed feelings in experiencing one in a little amount of time. Dedication, hard work, courage, confidence, patience, all of these are directed now into my point of view. Achieving my dreams would be very difficult and challenging but with these things and the possibilities in the near future, carrying the burden would be worth it.

A New Challenge

I woke up in the morning seeing the clock pointing at 7:05. I rushed through the bathroom and and take things fast as I thought I will be going to be late for my first duty at the Department of Public Works and Highways as an immersing student. I checked my cellphone for some updates from my classmates and found out that they are already waiting. I felt nervous, rushing things up, set myself ready and arrived at the location on time.

We walked in the building, we saw some students from other schools immersing in the same organization as ours. We waited for about two and a half hour and get
deployed by the assigned personnel for us. We were divided into four groups, assigned in different departmens. Me and my classmate Jill were deployed at the comstruction department where we encoded some of their files and records.

At first it's kind an awkward thing working with the office personnels but then we adjusted to fit and slowly coped up with the others.

Moving Forward

Seeing students with their beloved parents together while walking through the aisle to light the candle in their hands is heart-warming sight of view. I am very thankful that my mother came to the event to witness and be one of the Send-Off Ceremony conducted for the students before they will be gone for immersion. Though my mother have lots of chores to do at home, she is still determined to go to our school and participate just what I ask her to. It made me feel how supportive my family is and it helps me as an encouragement to do things at my very best.

The moment came and we are the ones who are next in lighting the candle, I proudly stood up and walk with my mother through the center stage. I felt a tight squeeze in my heart realizing that it is my big responsibility to bring my self to success, bringing my family to the better future. It may be hard but I know they will be by my side to support and help me surpass everything. I will move forward, with them by my side.

Simballay Festival 2017

Sirens bellowed as the police mobile led the motorcade to celebrate the "23rd" Simballay Festival" in Nabunturan, Compostela Valley Province. Motorcycles and cars joined the activity as they are witnessed by their beloved community. Children smiling with joy yelling "Simballay!" pointing to those things as if they can't hold up their excitement and childish thoughts. Though I am not a Nabunturanon, I can feel the happiness there is in a proud Nabunturanon individual. It is in their culture and in their hearts that will blossom especially every Christmas season.

As I wander throughout Nabunturan, streets were filled with beautifully constructed cottages with its different concepts from the participating barangays of the municipality. Fruits are displayed showing how bountiful Nabunturan is. Lights are lightened as they twinkly showing their beautiful colors, brightening the street.
Drums played their beats making the music more alive as the performers danced gracefully with their festive and colorful costumes. The festival lasted for a week making it memorable for the Nabunturanons and the visitors. It is a great pleasure to be with and be one of them to celebrate the festival.

December 1st

It was a sunny and a calm morning when I woke up in the first day of the last month of the year. I came down the stairs and saw the breakfast my mother prepared for me. My parents are already in their work and sessions so I had my breakfast alone. As I wonder, I suddenly remember that December first is Parents' day. I realized that I didn't greet my parents before they leave.

As I enter the school's gymnasium, a big crowd welcomes me. I saw students looking for their parents, teachers facilitating the program and parents enjoying their day. My parents can't come along with me because they are busy and I understand.

I saw my classmates in the pathway laughing and chatting, and I've also noticed that they also had no parents with them. Later on we decided to go to our classmate's house and hang there. We made the whole afternoon a bonding time, we played games and stuffs, and made ourselves relaxed

I got home around 7 in the evening and I saw my parents already lying down in the bed. Tired, exhausted and deeply slept. I decided to greet them the next morning so I had my dinner and get myself ready to sleep.

December 1st ended..
